 Only
about 2% of the natural Agate material can be used for the production of
Agate Cameos. Out of 100 pieces of cutted Agate stones about 80 can be
colored black, the rest is being colored red, green and blue.
The process of coloration takes about 4 to 8 months. The gemstones are then handcarved by an artist. After finishing the original Agate Cameo model, it can be duplicated with a very special technique by ultrasonical power. The finished product is
an example for the masterly precision of the ultrasonic carving in coloured
Agate.
